As a proud parent to three incredible individuals who've either flown, or are about to fly, the coop, I'm navigating the bittersweet waters of impending empty nest syndrome. It's been a thrilling two-decade adventure with my spouse by my side, and as we approach the quiet that follows the storm of parenting, it's an adjustment I'm gearing up for with a mix of excitement and nostalgia.
My affection for animals knows no bounds, yet, alas, our household remains a pet-free zone due to allergies. In an alternate universe, I'm the matriarch of a bustling menagerie, complete with purring felines, loyal canines, frolicking goats, and majestic highland cows. My digital love letters to my other half? They're brimming with the antics of our hoofed and horned friends.
Wanderlust courses through my veins, and if it weren't for the pesky necessity of earning a paycheck, I'd be a permanent globetrotter. The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page—I'm eager to devour chapter after chapter.
With nearly a decade and a half of experience in human resources, I've had the privilege of mentoring a diverse range of professionals, from those taking their first career steps to seasoned executives. My expertise spans a multitude of areas, including effective communication, strategic time management, enhancing performance, fostering development, and cultivating leadership skills.
Parallel to my HR career, I've embraced the role of volunteer ambassador at Bikini Bliss Fitness, a vibrant community spearheaded by the exceptional personal trainer, Monique. It was this very experience that ignited my passion for coaching. In my ambassadorial capacity, I've supported new members in acclimating to their fitness journeys, offering encouragement, a sympathetic ear, and answers to their queries. Playing even a minor role in their transformative journey has been immensely rewarding and propelled me to pursue coaching certification.
